Regarding to the custom regulations, for per adult it allows alcoholic beverages up to one litter, 50 cigars or 100 gram of tobacco, 200 cigarettes, and a reasonable amount of perfume. The radio, typewriter, car, photographic, video and film equipment are allowed under the circumstances that they are recorded in the passport on entry and taken out on departure. While the most strictly prohibited items are narcotics, TV, sets and Chinese medicines, and arms and ammunition. Fresh fruit, animals and plant are allowed after they pass the Quarantine Office.

Most foreign currencies are very easily changed at money changers, banks, or hotels. Indonesian Banking hours are from 8.00 am to 02.00 pm from Mondays to Fridays, and from 8.00 am to 11.00 am on Saturdays.
